Britton was born on March 15th, 1894 in Trigg Co., KY.1 Britton's father was William Terry Pinnegar and his mother was Eliza Ella Orr. His paternal grandparents were William Jackson Pinnegar and Nancy Elizabeth Ingram; his maternal grandparents were George Washington Sr. Orr and Elizabeth Bridges Stout. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Clifton E, William Jackson, George W, Flavus Adolph, Charles Eli, Merilla Elizabeth, Didama Gerlean and Azlean. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 75 on December 9th, 1969 in age 74. He was buried in 1969 in Paradise Cemetery, Lyon Co., KY.2 3 General Notes
