Nicholas was born in November 1810 in Paris, Bourbon Co., KY. Nicholas' father was Valentine PEARCE and his mother was Nellie Orr. His maternal grandparents were John Orr and Susan Monroe Grayson. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John Dalrymple, Edward Jones, Valentine Jones, Benjamin Orr, Henry Purviance, Susan Elizabeth, Jane Maria and Mary Eleanor. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died in Paris, Bourbon Co., KY.-
