James Haggard Nickell 
James Haggard was born on February 15th, 1874 in Nickell Farm, Lyon Co., KY.1 James Haggard's father was Madison Criswell Nickell and his mother was Mary Ann "Molly" Boyd. His paternal grandparents were James Nickell and Elizabeth Holloway; his maternal grandparents were Boyd and Malinda E Chandler. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Joseph Madison, Andrew Boyd, Alexander Reid, William Shelly, Thomas Walter, Edwin Sherman, Malinda Elizabeth, Jincy Magdelena, Lucinda Tibitia, Millie Ann and Mary Criswell. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 77 on July 16th, 1951 in Grand Rivers, Livingston Co., KY.-
