James Luther Childress 
James Luther was born on October 4th, 1845.1 James Luther's father was Thomas Jefferson Childress and his mother was Hannah Molly Arnold. His paternal grandparents were Fleming Childress and Elizabeth Boyd; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Arnold and Sallie Matthews. He had a brother and six sisters, named William Jefferson, Martha Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, Mildred Adams, Mary White, Eliza Jane and Katherine. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 43 in 1888.1 -
