William R. York

William R. was born in 1799 in Nelson, KY. William R.'s father was Jeremiah York and his mother was Sarah Hargis. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah II+ York and Mary+ Thomas; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Hargis and Rachel Provence. He had seven brothers named Thomas, Job, Zadock, John, Elijah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah. He is the second oldest of the eight children.
