John York 
John was born on July 1st, 1803 in Nelson, KY. John's father was Jeremiah York and his mother was Sarah Hargis. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah II+ York and Mary+ Thomas; his maternal grandparents are Thomas Hargis and Rachel Provence. He had seven brothers named Thomas, William R., Job, Zadock, Elijah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 55 on July 17th, 1858.General Notes
