Thomas Vestal 
Thomas was born on February 6th, 1801 in Chatham, NC. Thomas' father was Thomas+ Vestal and his mother was Amy+ Thompson. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Curran+ Vestal and Elizabeth+ Davis; his maternal grandfather is Samuel+ Thompson and his maternal grandmother was Phebe+ Allen. He had two brothers and six sisters, named William, John, Elizabeth+, Phebe, Hannah, Mary, Jemima and Rachel. He was the youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 on July 30th, 1880.General Notes
