Jonas was born on March 26th, 1793 in Egypt, Whitehall Twp., Northampton, PA. Jonas' father was Adam Troxell and his mother was Anna Marie Hecker. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Johannes Troxell and Catharina Reeder; his maternal grandparents are John Hecker and Catherina X.
