John `The Pirate` Troxell 
John `The Pirate` was born on November 22nd, 1794 in PA. John `The Pirate`'s father was Michael Troxell and his mother was Susannah X. His paternal grandparents were Johanne Michael Troxell and Anna Margaretha Saeger. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Michael Samuel, Edward, Maria Catherine, Elizabeth, Susanna, Julia and Sarah. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 21 on November 22nd, 1815 in Hung by John Lafitte`s Mutineers.General Notes
John Troxell was dubbed "The Spanish Pirate" when he sailed with John LaFitte, a legend during the years when the French, English and Spanish all vied for the land in the Lousiana territory. After Lafitte and his loyal Baratarians were pardoned by President Madison on 02/06/1815, Lafitte began dismantling his operation. In November, when Lafitte left Galveston to tend to affairs: "John Troxel was in charge and when he refused to go along (with the mutiny) they hung him. Lafitte came back and hung them." John built "Troxel`s Fort" as a storage place for lead and war equipment they sourced from as far as Illinois.
