John Peter Moon 
John Peter was born on May 13th, 1752 in Frederick Co., VA. John Peter's father was James Moon and his mother is Ann Mendenhall. His paternal grandfather was Simon Moon and his paternal grandmother is Laurentha Humphrey; his maternal grandfather was John Mendenhall and his maternal grandmother is Ruth Gilpin. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Thomas, Peter, Charity, Hannah, Lurana and Rachel. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 60 on March 5th, 1813 in Cane Creek Mm, Orange Co., NC.General Notes
