Jacob Moon 
Jacob was born on March 18th, 1756 in Cane Creek Mm, Orange Co., NC. Jacob's father was James Moon and his mother is Ann Mendenhall. His paternal grandfather was Simon Moon and his paternal grandmother is Laurentha Humphrey; his maternal grandfather was John Mendenhall and his maternal grandmother is Ruth Gilpin. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John Peter, Thomas, Peter, Charity, Hannah, Lurana and Rachel. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 66 on October 14th, 1822 in Cane Creek Mm, Orange Co., NC. He was buried in Cane Creek, Guilford, NC.General Notes
