John Mikels

John was born in October 1856 in Adair Co., MO. John's father was William L. Mikels and his mother was Sarah Ann Knight. His paternal grandparents were Hugh Mikels and Charity Ann Scholl. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Henry Samuel, May and Mary Frances. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 71 on November 12th, 1927 in Monterey Co., CA.
