Joel Mikels 
Joel was born in 1798 in NC. Joel's father was Thomas+ Mikels and his mother was Elizabeth+ Lyon. His paternal grandparents were William Quiller+ Mickles and Clara+ England; his maternal grandparents are John+ Lyon and Sarah+ Robinson. He had four brothers and six sisters, named John, William Henry+, Thomas, Isaac, Polly, Susannah, Georgia, Sallie, Zilphia and Margaret. He is the third oldest of the eleven children.General Notes
