Sophie De was born about 1192. Sophie De's father was Valeran IV De+ Limbourg and her mother was Cunegonde De+ Lorraine. Her paternal grandparents are Henri III De+ Limbourg and Sophie Von+ Saarbrucken; her maternal grandparents were Ferry I De+ Lorraine and Ludmila+ Piast. She had two brothers and a sister, named Henry IV De+, Valeran V De+ and Mathilde De+. She is the oldest of the four children.
