Henry Howard 
Henry was born in 1517 in London, Middlesex, England. Henry's father was Thomas Howard and his mother was Elizabeth Stafford. His paternal grandparents were Thomas+ Howard and Elizabeth Tilney; his maternal grandparents were Edward Stafford and Eleanor Percy. He had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Katherine, Mary and Dorothy. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died due to Executed. at the age of 31 on January 21st, 1548 in Tower Hill, London, Middlesex, England. He was buried on January 21st, 1548 in Framlingham, Suffolk, England.General Notes
Henry Howard (1517-1547) was the son of Thomas Howard , educated by John Clerk (d. 1552). He was proposed as husband for Princess Mary; married Frances Vere in 1532.Henry was earl marshall at the trial of Anne Boleyn in 1536. He accompanied his father against Yorkshire rebels in 1536. He was steward of Cambridge University in 1541.
In 1542 he was imprisoned for a quarrel and for annoying London citizens in 1543; He was wounded when marshal before Montreuil in 1544. He was defeated at St. Etienne in 1545 when commander of Boulogne and superceded by his enemy Lord Hertford, 1546.
Henry was condemned and executed in 1547 on a frivolous charge of treasonably quartering royal arms and advising his sister to become the king's mistress. His body was discovered at Framlingham Church, Suffolk, 1835.
He wrote forty poems, including "Description and Praise of his love Geraldine", printed in Tottel's 'Songs and Sonettes', 1557 (reprinted 1867 and 1870). His translations of the Aeneid 9books ii. and iii.) reprinted in 1814, introduced blank verse in five lambic feet. Henry of Surrey fir imitated Italian models, especially Petrarch and (with Wyatt) introdued the sonnet from Italy into England.
