Charles Jr. was born on March 12th, 1781 in Chatham Co., NC. Charles Jr.'s father was Charles Hobson and his mother was Sarah Beck. His paternal grandparents were George+ Hobson and Hannah Elizabeth+ Kinneson; his maternal grandparents were Jeffry Beck and Lydia Phillips. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Isaac, Jesse, George, Joshua, Hannah, Lydia, Susannah, Jane, Mary, Phebe, Rebecca and Sarah. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 70 on August 28th, 1851 in Londonderry, Ross Co., OH.General Notes
