William Gist

William was born in 1711 in St. Paul's Parish, Baltimore, MD. William's father was Richard Gist and his mother was Zipporah Murray. His paternal grandparents were Christopher Gist and Edith Cromwell; his maternal grandparents were James Murray and Jemima Morgan. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Christopher, Richard, Nathaniel, Thomas, John, Edith, Jemima, Ruth and Sarah. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 83 on November 19th, 1794 in Baltimore Co., MD. He was buried on November 21st, 1794 in St. Thomas Parish, Baltimore, MD.
