Duncan was born on August 7th, 1552 in Glenorchy, Argyllshire, Scotland. Duncan's father was Colin Campbell and his mother is Catherine Ruthven. His paternal grandparents were Colin Campbell and Marjory Stewart; his maternal grandfather was William+ Ruthven and his maternal grandmother is Janet+ Halyburton. He had three sisters named Margaret, Anna and Mary. He had a half-sister named Beatrix. He died at the age of 78 on June 23rd, 1631.General Notes
