Naomi was born about 1726 in New Castle Co., DE. Naomi's father was Casparus Garretson and her mother was Ann Cox. Her maternal grandparents were John Cox and Rachel Embree Carr. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Joseph, William, Ann, Rebecca and Martha. She is the youngest of the seven children.
