America Gaines 
America was born about 1805. America's father was Richard H. Gaines and her mother is Rebecca Gatewood Barrett. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Gaines and Ann Martha George. She had three brothers and a sister, named James, Granville, Pendleton and Virginia. She is the youngest of the five children. She has a half-sister named Mary.General Notes
