Her paternal grandfather was Louis VI+ Capet and her paternal grandmother is Adelaide De+ Savoie; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume X D'+ Aquitaine and Alianor De+ Chatellerault. She had a sister named Alix+. She was the older of the two children. She had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Philippe August II+, William, Henry, Richard I, Geoffroi II, John+, Marguerite, Adelaide+, Agnes, Matilda+, Alienor+ and Joan.
