Martha was born on October 14th, 1775 in Surry, NC. Martha's father was Samuel Bond and her mother was Elizabeth Beals. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Bond and Martha Rogers; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Beals and Sarah Antrim. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Joseph S., Thomas, Samuel, Mordecai, Ornon, Margaret, Sarah, Dorcas, Rachel, Elizabeth and Ruth. She is the oldest of the twelve children.General Notes
