Joseph S. Bond 
Joseph S. was born on August 9th, 1779 in Surry, NC. Joseph S.'s father was Samuel Bond and his mother was Elizabeth Beals. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Bond and Martha Rogers; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Beals and Sarah Antrim. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Samuel, Mordecai, Ornon, Martha, Margaret, Sarah, Dorcas, Rachel, Elizabeth and Ruth. He was the third oldest of the twelve children.
