Eleanor was born about 1435 in London, Middlesex, England. Eleanor's father was Edmund+ Beaufort and her mother was Eleanor De+ Beauchamp. Her paternal grandparents were John De+ Beaufort and Margaret De+ Holland; her maternal grandparents were Richard De+ Beauchamp and Elizabeth De+ Berkeley. She had a brother and two sisters, named Henry+, Margaret+ and Anne+. She was the second oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Thomas De and Margaret De.
