Richard d'Avranches Earl of Chester 
Richard was born about 1086 in of Chester, England. Richard's father was Hugh d'Aurange Lupus Earl of Chester and his mother is Hermentrude Ermengard de Clermont. His paternal grandparents were Richard "Le Goz" Vicomte D'Avranches and Lady Emma de Conteville; his maternal grandparents were Hugh I de Creil de Beauvais Count of Clermont and Margaret de Roucy Montdidier. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Abbot of, Philippe, Othewell, Robert, Maud, Mavila and Geva. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died due to drowned in aboard the White Ship, English Channel.General Notes
