Sarah Shipley 
Sarah was born about 1836 in Sullivan Co., Tennessee.1 Sarah's father was Orson Shipley and her mother was Hannah O Hunt. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Shipley , Sr and Catherine Wells. She had five brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John H, Benjamin Franklin, Orson Austin, David Wells, Jessie Perry, Catherine Wells, Nancy, Martha, Barbara, Mary Elizabeth and Beyer. She was the fifth oldest of the twelve children.2 General Notes
