Jacob Rector 
Jacob was born about 1723 in Fauquier Co., Va. Jacob's father was Hans Jacob Richter and his mother was Elsbeth Fishbach. His maternal grandfather was Philip Fishbach and his maternal grandmother is Elsbeth Heimbach. He had three brothers named John, Harmon and Henry. He died about 1810 in Grayson Co., Va.General Notes
Jacob Rector moved from Fauquier Co., VA to Rowan Co., NC. His oldest sons hadpreceeded him there. Later he and sons James and Jesse moved to Grayson Co., VAwhere he had a 130 acre land grant. They lived at the head of Meadow Creek about two miles east of present day Delhart Community in southeast Grayson County.As far as can be determined, the Jacob Rector Family were the first of this surname to live in Grayson County. Today Jacob Rector has a great many descendants living in surrounding counties of Virginia and North Carolina and all over America.
