Peter Rector 
Peter was born on November 1st, 1749 in Prince William Co., Va. Peter's father was Jacob Rector and his mother was Mary Hitt. His paternal grandparents were Hans Jacob Richter and Elsbeth Fishbach; his maternal grandparents are Peter Hitt and Elizabeth Otterbach or Utterback. He had three brothers and a sister, named James, Jesse, Bennett and Elizabeth "Betty". He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 72 in 1821 in Rowan Co., Nc.General Notes
Peter Rector moved from Prince William Co., to Rowan Co. with his parents, brothers and sisters. He is the only member of his family to live there the remainder of his life. Little else was learned of him and his family.
