His paternal grandparents were Sir John Howard and Alice Tendering; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Mowbray Duke of Norfolk and Elizabeth FitzAlan Duchess of Norfolk. He had two sisters named Margaret and Aberga Catherine. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 65 on August 22nd, 1485 in Leicertershire, England.
