Milton Hobson 
Milton was born on January 10th, 1826 in Guilford Co., Nc.1 Milton's father was William Hobson and his mother was Ruth Newlin. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Hobson and Emey Marshill; his maternal grandparents were Joshua Newlin and Achsah Vestal. He had three brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John, William, Eli, Eunice, Eliza, Vierna, Cynthia, Rhoda and Infant. He died at the age of 80 on June 28th, 1906 in Marshall, Indiana.1 General Notes
Milton HOBSON, farmer, Bloomingdale, was b. in Guilford Co, NC in 1826. His parents removed to Parke Co. in 1828. His father, William Hobson, was b. in Guilford Co, NC 1797 and d. in this co. in 1840 and his mother, Ruth NEWLIN was also a native of NC and died in about 1866. May 16, 1847, Mr. Hobson was marr. to Charity DAVIS, daughter of Exum and Orpha Davis, who came from Wayne Co NC in about 1837 to Parke Co. Mr. Hobson has been bless with 13 children, of whom 8 are living: Orpha J, wife of Thomas JAMES; George W; Mary A, wife of CJ BLAKE; John R; Josiah D; Martha V; Rhoda C; and Wallace N.
