Margaret was born in 1480 in Castletown, Kildrought, Kildare, Ireland. Margaret's father was Gerald Fitzgerald and her mother was Alison FitzEustace , Heiress of Portlester. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas FitzGerald , 7th Earl of Kildare and Joan "Cam" FitzGerald; her maternal grandfather was Roland (1st Baron Portlester) FitzEustace and her maternal grandmother is Joan\Joanna\Jenet Bellew. She had a half-sister named Catherine. She died at the age of 62 on August 9th, 1542.-
