Joan "Cam" FitzGerald 
Joan "Cam" was born in 1435 in Desmond, Kerry, Ireland. Joan "Cam"'s father was James "The Usurper" FitzGerald , 7th Earl Desmond and her mother was Mary de Burgh. Her paternal grandparents were Gerald FitzMaurice FitzGerald , 3rd Earl Desmond and Eleanor Butler; her maternal grandfather was William (Uilleag\Ulick) an Fhiona de Burgh and her maternal grandmother is Egelina de Courtenay. She was an only child. She died at the age of 51 on June 13th, 1486 in Monastery of Adare, Limerick, Ireland.1 General Notes
He [Thomas FitzMaurice FitzGerald) married Joan (dispensation to marryanew 24 January 1455/6, they having previously married per verba depraesenti, though knowing that they were related within the prohibiteddegrees), daughter of James (FITZGERALD), 6th EARL of DESMOND [IRL], byMary, daughter of Ulick DE BURGH, of Clanricarde.
