Robert II De was born about 1100 in Derbyshire, England.1   Robert II De's father was Robert de Ferrers 1st Earl of Derby and his mother was Hawise de Vitre.  His paternal grandparents were Sir Henry de Ferrers and Dame Berta Roberts; his maternal grandfather was Andre Gui de Vitrie Seigneur de Vitrie and his maternal grandmother is Agnes de Mortain Burgh. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William de, Walcheline de, Agnes de, Maud de, Hawise de, de and Isolda de.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died in Merevale, Warwickshire, England.  He was buried in Abbey Of Mereval, Warwickshire, England.1 1

‌Robert II De were married in a religious ceremony about 1134 in of Nottinghamshire, England.  He had a biological daughter named Matilda De.
