Robert II De Ferrers Earl of Derby 
Robert II De was born about 1100 in Derbyshire, England.1 Robert II De's father was Robert de Ferrers 1st Earl of Derby and his mother was Hawise de Vitre. His paternal grandparents were Sir Henry de Ferrers and Dame Berta Roberts; his maternal grandfather was Andre Gui de Vitrie Seigneur de Vitrie and his maternal grandmother is Agnes de Mortain Burgh. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William de, Walcheline de, Agnes de, Maud de, Hawise de, de and Isolda de. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died in Merevale, Warwickshire, England. He was buried in Abbey Of Mereval, Warwickshire, England.1 1 General Notes

Hugh de Aukenvilla witnessed a charter of Earl Robert de Ferrers for Maurice son of Geoffrey of Tilty, Essex, dated 28 Sept 1139. [Anglo-Norman Families, p. 8]
In 1135 Henry de Boskerville held 3 knights' fees of Ferrers; in 1135 William de Boskerville held 3 knights' fees of Ferrers, 1 of which was held in 1166 by his son Ralf. The lords of Ferrieres had an important interest in Bourgtheroulde in the middle ages. [Anglo-Norman Families, p. 19]
Broglie, Eure, arr. Bernay, is close to Ferrieres-Saint-Hilaire and was held by the lords of Ferrieres in demesne, finally superseding Ferrieres as the caput of the barony. Henry de Cambreis held one knight's fee of Ferrers in 1135, and witnessed Earl Robert's foundation charter of Merevale Abbey. [Anglo-Norman Families, p. 23]
