King of East Anglia was born about 0835 in of Hagilsdun,Hoxne,near Diss,England. King of East Anglia's father was King 'noble Wolf' King of England Ethelwulf and his mother was Queen of Wight Queen of Wessex Osburgh. His paternal grandparents were , King of Wessex (England) Egbert "The Great" and Redburga d'Autun Queen of Wessex; his maternal grandfather is Earl Oslac the Royal Cup Bearer of Wessex. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Anglo-Saxons King of England, Anglo-Saxons King of Kent, of West Saxons Anglo-Saxons King of Wessex, I King of England, King of All England, King of Kent, Essex, and, Anglo-Saxons Queen, Ethelswith and Judith. He died about 0870. He was buried in St. Edmundsbury,Beodrechsworth,,England.General Notes
!4th son of Ethelwulf. A target for Danish arrows, one head of which remained embedded in the tree to which this English St. Sebastian was bound, when it fell during Victorian times; and the curious log church at Greensted, on the edge of Epping Forest, is believed to have been built as a resting place for
the martyr's body, carried back from London to the once venerated shrine of Bury St. Edmunds. [Leaders & Landmarks, Vol. II, p. 15]
!Obtained the crown of East Anglia in 855. Held his rule in peace till the fatal invasion of 870 by the Danes under Ingvar and his brother Ubba. The king was bound to a tree, scourged with whips, pierced with arrows, and finally beheaded. [Knight's Popular History of England, Vol. 1, p. 113]

In 866 the Dane, who had been for long harassing the coasts, lurking among the creeks and inlets, came first to land and took up their quarters in East Anglia, `and there they were horsed.' Four years later Suffolk acquired its famous martyr, for King Edmund was killed in defence of his kingdom. [Victoria
