Ruth was born on April 25th, 1777 in Cane Creek Mm, Orange, North Carolina, United States.1 Ruth's father was John Davies and her mother was Mary Chamness. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Davies and Hannah Elizabeth Matson; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Chamness and Sarah Cole. She had five brothers and six sisters, named Joseph, William, John, Charles, Thomas, Sarah, Hannah, Mary, Tamer, Elizabeth and Rachel. She was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. She died at just 1 days old on April 26th, 1777 in Rocky River, Chatham, Nc. She was buried in Cane Creek, Orange, Nc.1 General Notes
