John Davis 
John was born on September 2nd, 1790 in Deep Creek Mm, Surry County, North Carolina.1 John's father was William Davis and his mother was Anna Marshill. His paternal grandparents were John Davies and Mary Chamness; his maternal grandparents were William Marshall and Rebecca Dixon. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Jacob, Joseph, Simon, Ezra, Mark, Mary, Rebecca, Rachel and Anne. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 93 on August 1st, 1884 in Wabash, Wabash County, Indiana.1 General Notes
