Charles I's father was "The Lion" King of France Louis VIII and his mother was Princess of Castile, Queen of France Blanche.  His paternal grandparents were King France Philippe II and Isabelle Hainault Queen of Frances; his maternal grandparents were Sanchez, King of Castile Alfonso VIII and Queen of Castile Eleanor. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named King of France, Count of Artois, Alphonse, Prince of France, Prince France, Carlo, Prince France, King Jerusalem, Prince of, daughter and Princess France.  He died in Foggia, Kingdom of Naples Italy.

‌Charles I and Marguerite were married in a religious ceremony on November 18th, 1268.


Charles I's second family with Beatrice Berenger , Countess of Provence

They had a son and two daughters, named Charles II, Beatrix and Isabella.
