Roese (Rohesia) De was born on October 17th, 1252 in Tunbridge,Kent,England.  Roese (Rohesia) De's father was Richard De Clare Earl of Gloucester and her mother was Maud Lacy Countess of Gloucester.  Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert de Clare , Sir, Earl of Gloucester 6th and Isabel Marshall Countess of Cornwall; her maternal grandparents were John Lacy Earl of Lincoln & Constable of Chester and Margaret Quincy Countess of Lincoln. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert "the Red Earl", Thomas De, Bevis (Bogo) (Benet) De, Robert (Richard) De, Isabel De, Margaret De, Maud De and Eglentine De.  She was the second youngest of the nine children.  She died after 1316.
