William Newton Waldrip 
William Newton was born on August 19th, 1883 in Sweetwater, Nolan Co., Texas.1 William Newton's father was James Trousdel Waldrip and his mother was Alabama Maleance Graham. His maternal grandparents were William Franklin Smith Graham and Ann Elisor Alley. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Riley Sylvester, Sidney Anderson George, George Hasel, Jeff Alvin, Jehu Trousdell, Bessie, Roma and Lois Ella. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 84 on February 21st, 1968 in Lake Arthur, Chaves Co., New Mexico.1 General Notes
