Hiram Jackson was born on January 29th, 1865 in Kentucky.1 Hiram Jackson's father was Green Berry Underwood and his mother was Mary Rachel Sprowls. His paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. He had four brothers and six sisters, named William B., Eli, Green Berry,Jr., John Logan, Sarah N., Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Ersley Alley, Celia Betty and Jane. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Alfred Thomas, Rosetta, Mattie Green, Lona Bell and Grance Ann.
