Elizabeth was born on October 27th, 1855 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Elizabeth's father was Green Berry Underwood and her mother was Mary Rachel Sprowls. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William B., Eli, Green Berry,Jr., Hiram Jackson, John Logan, Sarah N., Mary Jane, Ersley Alley, Celia Betty and Jane. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Alfred Thomas, Rosetta, Mattie Green, Lona Bell and Grance Ann. She died at the age of 64 on November 8th, 1919 in Levelwoods, LaRue Co., Kentucky.1 General Notes
