Celia Betty was born on January 25th, 1859 in Taylor Co., Kentucky.1 Celia Betty's father was Green Berry Underwood and her mother was Mary Rachel Sprowls. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Underwood and Celia Buley. She had five brothers and five sisters, named William B., Eli, Green Berry,Jr., Hiram Jackson, John Logan, Sarah N., Mary Jane, Elizabeth, Ersley Alley and Jane. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named Alfred Thomas, Rosetta, Mattie Green, Lona Bell and Grance Ann. She died at the age of 48 on July 19th, 1907 in LaRue Co. Kentucky.1 General Notes
