Carl Stanton Underwood 
Carl Stanton was born on January 2nd, 1890 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., Illinois.1 Carl Stanton's father was David Jasper Underwood and his mother was Ruth Campbell. His maternal grandparents were James Madison Campbell and Elizabeth Eleanor Mitchell. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Ira Julian, Alvin Wendell, James Bryan, David Jasper, Frank Marshall, Fred Woodrow, Annie Ruth, Opal and Mary Elanor. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 74 on March 19th, 1964 in Redwood City, California.1 General Notes
