Opal Underwood 
Opal was born on June 6th, 1903 in McLeansboro, Hamilton Co., Illinois.1 Opal's father was David Jasper Underwood and her mother was Ruth Campbell. Her maternal grandparents were James Madison Campbell and Elizabeth Eleanor Mitchell. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Carl Stanton, Ira Julian, Alvin Wendell, James Bryan, David Jasper, Frank Marshall, Fred Woodrow, Annie Ruth and Mary Elanor. She was the fourth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 27 on December 20th, 1930.1 General Notes
