James Asa Snider 
James Asa was born in January 1868 in Williamson Co., Texas.1 James Asa's father was Samuel Copeland Snider and his mother was Catherine C. Sterling. His paternal grandparents were John Snider and Rachel Smalley. He had a brother and three sisters, named Samuel Benjamin, Mary Elizabeth, Rachel Catherine and Virgie C.. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 33 on January 13th, 1901 in Jones Co., Texas.1 General Notes
