George Smiley

George was born about 1842 in Breckenridge Co., Kentucky.¹   George's father was William Smiley and his mother was Nancy Sealey. He had five brothers named John, Harrison Thomas, Elijah, Benjamin and Sylvester.  He is the oldest of the six children. He had seven half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Seth W., Abner, Edward Franklin, Samuel M., James N. 'Jim', Charles L., Robert P., Louisiana and Sarah Jane.
