Michael Skaggs 
Michael was born on May 25th, 1809 in Greenbrier Co., Virginia.1 Michael's father was Joseph Skaggs and his mother is Margaret Swope. His paternal grandfather was John,Jr. Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is UNKNOWN Unknown. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Andrew Jackson, Delilah, Jane Susanna, Elizabeth and Cinderalla. He was the oldest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, John B., Zebulan, Samuel and Polly. He died at the age of 42 on October 25th, 1851 in Platte Co., Missouri.1 General Notes
