Elizabeth was born on January 28th, 1815 in Monroe Co., Virginia.1 Elizabeth's father was Joseph Skaggs and her mother is Margaret Swope. Her paternal grandfather was John,Jr. Skaggs and her paternal grandmother is UNKNOWN Unknown. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Michael, Joseph, Andrew Jackson, Delilah, Jane Susanna and Cinderalla. She was the third youngest of the seven children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, John B., Zebulan, Samuel and Polly. She died in Nemaha Co., Nebraska.1 General Notes
