John,Jr. Skaggs 
John,Jr. was born in 1754 in Augusta Co., Virginia now Monroe Co., West Virginia.1 John,Jr.'s father was John Skaggs and his mother is Ruth Bishop. His paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Rachel Unknown. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Zachariah, Charles, Rebecca, Unknown and Rachael. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 85 in 1839 in Monroe Co., West Virginia. He was buried in Old Greenbriar Baptist Church Cemetery, Monroe Co., West Virginia.1 1 General Notes
