Gertrue B. was born on August 24th, 1891.1 Gertrue B.'s father was Leroy Davis Sanders and her mother was Irene Basham. Her paternal grandparents are Rueben Sanders and Elizabeth West; her maternal grandparents were William Farmer Basham and Mary Mandeville Webb. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Lee, Marion Houston, George Simpson, Zula Mae and Mammie. She died at the age of 91 on February 2nd, 1983 in May, Texas.1 General Notes
